Bangs?

I've been wanting a Bettie bang for so long. But I know from experience that bangs... not exactly something that compliments my face. However, I'm wondering if I should just go ahead and do it anyways, eventhough it's about 80% likely that I'll look like a weirdo? True, I've just saved up enough so that I'm easily able to create whatever front roll or whatever hairstyle it may be.

i think it will look cute! i had short bangs a couple yrs ago but my hair is super curly and i didnt like it bc i had to flatten them all the time and they got really damaged! they are now just growing out lol.

Thanks! Ohh, I just called a hairdresser and made an appointment.. Monday the 19th.. bangs time!!! I'm trying to find some good pics online now to show them, it's a bit hard! Do you know any?

Desideria: HUZZAAAH.

mama grubbs: Yes well, my hair is completely straight, so I won't have that problem. I'm still worried about cutting them though! ;)

Nadia: I came, I saw, I loved it.

It depends how short you want them..

Go for it! I have Bettie Bangs (a little longer than your friend's, though), and if you get tired of them, or want a different look that day, it's actually pretty easy to hide them - they are more versatile than you might think!

Yeah, I know I'll definitely be able to do different styles with them, especially since I'll be keep them on the longer side.. like you :) But still I'm worried it won't be the same as not having them! (Which it really won't be) Gah! I can't seem to decide! Haha.. :)

I say yes! Its always refreshing to try something new, and i've got bangs myself and they seem to grow incredibly fast. So if you end up hating them for some reason, they'll always grow back :]

Go for it, I recently cut my own Betty Bangs, and even though they are short, I can still style them in different ways, they are just above my eyebrows, but are obviously in the u shape. I wear them straight across just like the traditional betty bangs, but I also section them off to the sides, and they look good that way too. :) x

I think that it's funny that we're all saying "Go for it" - but we aren't the ones who will have to live with it!

Still, it's such a cute look - and it's really not all that risky - so....Go for it!

LOVE your blog, by the way...

Best of luck with your Betty Bangs. What i would say is to really go for it. When i got them cut my hairdresser didn't make them thick enough to get that block effect. You need em thick to make the look work. And work the brows lady...
Oh how I miss my Betty Bangs :-( but my hair is naturally curly and its more of a straight hairstyle right?? Does anyone think that betty bangs can work with naturally curly hair?? Note: I need pictoral evidence!!

Love the blog! x

Of course it needs to be thick enough! If not it's kind of.. wrong :p I think they work best straight. But that's just me..

Aw, it's just hair it grows back!! I have done it a few times myself, thinking it would look awful... but it turned out ok!

I say go for it if worse come to worse you can wear a scarf or just style it differently and wait fo them to grow out :)

LisaFreemontStreet does a video on youtube on how to blend your bangs in with your hair for "bangless" hairstyles, to give you more options. You should check it out. You, and her are my favorite hair gurus for vintage styles. Here's the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-dWAY7UiDk

good luck! :)
